Inaugural ceremony of two months local language training programme of seven languages held

Inaugural ceremony of two months local language training programme of seven languages was held on Friday at the MSFDS, Palace Compound, Imphal. The training programme was organised by the Directorate of Language Planning and implementation, Government of Manipur.

Chief Minister N. Biren Singh, Education Minister Th. Bashanta Singh were among the several dignitaries attend the anaugural ceremony.

Taking to Facebook, the Chief Minister said "the training program offers training in Manipuri, Tangkhul, Poumai, Ruangmei, Anal, Paite and Thadou local languages. This has been initiated to encourage interaction among the different communities and help build integration, and greater harmony among the people".

Further, he said the training programme will also provides an opportunity to learn a second language for the people of Manipur.
