Supreme Court Sends Notice to Ex Kshetrigao MLA Nahakpam Indrajit

Supreme Court has sent notice to MLA Nahakpam Indrajit on MLA Sheikh Noorul Hassan’s appeal to the apex court against the judgement of the Manipur High Court in favour of the latter‘s appeal to the state High Court for election replication.
The Supreme Court conducted a hearing on 10th July 2023 and issued notice to the Ex-MLA the same day returnable in three weeks’ time.

The notice has been sent to the Ex-MLA after Sheikh Noorul Hassan challenged and applied a special leave petition against the impugned judgement /order of the Manipur High Court for election replication on Ex-MLA Nahakpam Indrajit’s appeal for election petition MC (EI. Pet.) No. 119 of 2022 at Manipur High Court.

The Chief Justice and the bench headed by Justice Pamidighantam Sri Narasimha called for a hearing on 10th July and sent notice to the Ex-MLA to be returnable in three weeks.
