Meeyamgi Numit Thoubal: Deputy Commissioner Thoubal Distributes Various Welfare Schemes Cards to the New and Existing Beneficiaries

In the hope of addressing the grievances of the general public, the District Administration Thoubal organized "Meeyamgi Numit" (People's Day) Friday at the Counting Hall of the Deputy Commissioner's Office Complex for the month of January.

As part of the program, A. Subhash Singh, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Thoubal, and other District Level Officers listened to various grievances and demands of the public.

Speaking at the occasion, the DC said "Meeyamgi Numit" is a platform to meet with people in person and address their grievances. The program has gained the trust of the people in the district and is continuously working for their welfare. He expressed happiness that a large number of people continue to turn up every month to take benefits of various government schemes. He said the District Administration is fully committed to addressing the problems and grievances of the public at the earliest in collaboration with the concerned departments. He said that most of the grievances are related to old-age pension schemes, CMHT cards, and other schemes.

The DC also distributed four CMHT cards and one disabled certificate to the beneficiaries.

A total 34 number of grievances relating to CMHT were registered. Out of these, nine cards have been approved by the Deputy Commissioner. Twenty-five cases of old age pension and eighteen cases of Widow pension were also registered. A total of one hundred ninety-one (191) written applications from two hundred thirty-eight (238) applicants were received on Friday regarding the CMHT, pension schemes for widows & old age, and grievances related to other departments like PHED, Police, and MSPDCL among others.

The program had twenty-one stalls opened to address the demands and grievances of the public, including the Police, CMO, ICDS, ZEO, MSPDCL, Veterinary, Agriculture, and Fishery.

SP Thoubal Shri Jogeshchandra Haobijam, IPS, ADM Shri B.Lokeshor Sharma, CMO Thoubal, Dr.Y.Nokul, all Sub- Divisional Officers, and other District level Officers of different departments attended the program to address the grievances of the general public.
