"Vartalaap" Media Workshop:

DC Thoubal A. Subhash, IAS, expressed the need of giving particulars of government schemes to the Media for Proper Implementation and Effectiveness while attending as the Chief Guest of the Media Workshop " Vartalaap " held on Tuesday at Counting Hall of DC Complex Thoubal.

The DC appealed to the media to give knowledge of the schemes and benefits given by the government to the people through their print or electronic medium. He also asserted that District Administration Thoubal would soon organize a Media Sensitization program with experts of the department.

MCO of PIB Imphal L. Premlata attended the workshop as the Functionary President and SP Thoubal Jogeshchandra Haobijam, IPS as Guest of Honor.

While in the technical session, District Social Welfare Officer Kangujam Nongpok-nganba Salaicha, Manipur University Economics Department Professor Dr. Chinglen Maisnam, and CEO of Zilla Parishad Thoubal Ksh. Umananda spoke as Resource Person on "The Welfare Schemes for Senior Citizens, Differently Abled Persons and Weaker Sections", "India's Act East Policy and its Impact in Manipur " and " The Schemes under Rural Development and Panchayati Raj".

DC Thoubal A. Subhash also announced the availability of a Digital X-RAY Facility at District Hospital Thoubal which will run 24×7. He said that only a sum of Rs. 200 will be charged and if it is to be received via email or WhatsApp, the cost will be only Rs. 150. He also added that for Pregnant women, infants within 28 days of their birth, Persons using ART, injured during accidents and natural calamities, X-RAY will be available free of cost.
