A Suspected NSCN(K) Cadre Arrested at Lungba Village

Kohima, 8th November, 2021: PIB Defence Wing said that a combined team of Security forces and Nagaland Police had arrested a suspected NSCN(K-YA) today when they conducted a combing operation at Longwa Village in Mon District, Nagaland.
“The team had an early information regarding the suspect at Lungwa Village. They went for combing operation in the region and arrested the suspected cadre,” a source said.
The suspect is known to have arrived at the region very recently from Lungwa Village, Burma. He is also said to have involved in many extortion cases in different parts of the region. He is also said to be an NSCN(K) cadre from Konyang Region.
The team also came to know that NSCN(K-YA) still has its bases at Houkyat, Thanoi, Louhan, Kamai and Papsoda in Myanmar Sangyen Division.
Meanwhile, the arrested suspect has been handed over to Mon Police station.
