Assam Rifles organized an Interaction program with Ex-Servicemen of Kotlein area
Noney Battalion under the aegis of Headquarters 22 Sector Assam Rifles and Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) organized an interaction with Ex-Servicemen by Kotlien Company Operating Base, for the remote villages of the Kotlien area.
Ex-Servicemen after retirement play an important role in our society. They possess the capability to provide the right direction to upcoming generations as a result of their past life experiences and disciplined life. It is our duty to acknowledge their sacrifices and assist them to lead a better life after retirement and thus the interaction with ex-servicemen was organized by the Noney Battalion of Assam Rifles.
The main aim of the interaction was to facilitate speedy redressal of grievances of the Ex-Servicemen of the area and dissemination of information regarding various welfare schemes and policies as promulgated by the Higher Headquarters and Central Government. They were also briefed on the Government’s various advisories and aspects of the ongoing second wave of COVID-19, COVID Appropriate Behaviour (CAB), including the importance of COVID vaccination, Do’s and Don’ts. They were also sensitized about the myths of vaccination complications that are being circulated in society through various social media platforms. A total of 06 Ex-servicemen attended the meeting. Refreshments were also provided to all the attendees of interaction. Adequate COVID preventive measures and protocols were followed during the interaction.
