CM attended Sushma Swaraj Award ceremony; Many Distinguished women personalities of Manipur Awarded
The Mahila Morcha of Bharatiya Janata Party starts a national award in the name of former (late) external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj from this year onwards. The award named as ‘Sushma Swaraj Award’ to be given to distinguished women achievers selected from various fields of services through a highly-power committee maintaining proper transparency.

Bharatiya Janata Party Manipur Pradesh Mahila Morcha has organized the Sushma Swaraj Award function at JN Manipur Dance Academy, Khuyathong, Imphal on Saturday in the august presence of CM N. Biren Singh and BJP State president Adhikarimayum Sharda as distinguished chief guest and guest of Honor.
On attending the award ceremony CM N. Biren wrote, "Pleased to attend the ‘Sushma Swaraj Award’ ceremony at JN Manipur Dance Academy today.
Named after BJP leader, late Sushma Swaraj, the award is being conferred to distinguished women achievers from various fields of service as a mark of honor and encouragement.
Manipur has no dearth of women achievers and iconic leaders who have inspired many people. It was a privilege to facilitate them and see them getting recognition with such awards."

The award ceremony has been decided by the BJP’s Mahila Morcha with an aim to both immortalised the contributions of Sushma Swaraj made to the nation and facilitate women achievers and their outstanding services and achievements in their respective fields to others.

The award has decided not only to acknowledge the outstanding achievements of services of women from various fields but also to promote their achievements and services as sources of inspiration to others in society.
