Chabang Kut: Greetings Flowing in For a Peaceful and Harmonious Society

HY News Imphal, 1st November 2021: Chief Minister N. Biren, Governor La Ganesan, and other dignitaries sent their heartiest greetings to the people of Manipur (to the Kukis particularly) for peace and harmony on the occasion of Chavang Kut.
'Chavang Kut', the post-harvest festival of the Kuki-chin-Mizo community was celebrated with true spirit and much delight in many parts of the state today. The Molnoi area also celebrated the festival on the theme, “Peace through Culture.”
Taking to Twitter, CM Biren Singh wrote, “On this auspicious occasion of Kut, I extend my heartfelt greetings to everyone who is celebrating today, especially the Kuki-Chin-Mizo brethren. Celebrated on the 1st of Nov every year, this festival marks the end of harvesting season and thanks to the almighty for an abundant harvest.
The CM also said, “The festival has also assured greater significance in bringing together the communities in the celebration cutting across religion and faith”. And he is hopeful that the festival will facilitate greater love, oneness, and brotherhood amongst all communities in the state.
Meanwhile, greeting the people on the occasion, Governor La. Ganesan talked of the festival to be symbolic of peace, harmony, and unity rising above the barriers of caste, creed, and religion.
More and more people belonging to different communities have also joined in the celebration every year spreading the message of oneness, the message written off. He also appealed to everyone to embrace one and all to bring prosperity to society.
