DM Students Urge Concern Authorities to Retrieve their stolen Vehicles
Three vehicles of the students were stolen from the campus of DM College of Science, DM University during the college's sport meet 2022-2023 held from January 10 to January 14. The stolen vehicles are a KTM (RC-200) and two Royal Enfield 350, an FIR was lodged at Imphal Police Station regarding the matter timely.
Regarding the complaint and plea to the concerns, the Police and CDO Imphal West nabbed vehicle thieves one after another. College Student Union expressed gratitude to the team. However, The lost vehicles remain still untraceable.
According to the news uploaded and printed on the 7th and 8th of February to the newspaper, social media handles, and news channels, the thieves nabbed by CDO Imphal West were identified as
1). Md. Riyajuddin (45) S/O (L) MS. Emam Ali of Kyamgei Oinam Loukol.
2). Md. Ella Khan (20) S/O Md. Riyajuddin
3). Md. Manju Khan (19) S/O Md. Riyajuddin
The team of CDO Imphal West who nabbed the thieves were honored and extended a word of thanks through a letter by Student Unions.
The student union condemned police inaction in recovering the vehicles. They questioned whether retrieving only the number plate is enough what about the vehicle? They condemned releasing of prime accused Md. Riyajuddiand pleaded to recover the vehicles bearing number plates recovered from Md. Ella Khan. Unions, and students drew the attention of the hon'ble CM. N. Biren on the matter.
