Grand people's conference Called Off: Popular Front of India
Thoubal, 5th August 2022: Md Abdullah Hussain, President of the Popular Front of India, has called off the "Grand People's Conference" for some days through a press conference. The program was supposed to be organized as part of the "Save the Republic Campaign."
The President furthered that the Popular Front has been inculcating the ideas of being a republic since 26th January 2022 as part of the "Save the Republic Campaign. And it will continue to instill the same to the people till 15th August, the Independence Day of India.
Popular Front of India, the President said, has been organizing the campaign in different parts of Manipur through corner meetings, get-together programs, and area conferences and helping people understand the present situation of being a republic.
The campaign is supposed to conclude at the Sangaiyumpham Idgah Ground at 2 pm on Saturday, the 6th of August, 2022 but as per instructions from Thoubal District Administration following Covid Protocols in the state, the Grand People's Conference has been called off for some time.
The President extended his gratitude to the people for all their support and cooperation throughout the campaign. He also urged people to work with the Front and support further preserving the ideas of being a republic.
