Huge Cache of Narcotic Drugs Seized; Two Arrested

Teams of CDO TBL and Women Police led by O. Wangkhomba, MPS Addl. SP(Ops) arrested one Khulakpam Abdul Ali @ Raghu (32) s/o. Late Md. Suyeb Ali of Yairipok Changamdabi Mayai Leikai Manipur and his son around 6:20 in the morning. The team also seized a huge cache of narcotic drugs from his house.
The seized items include
1. 906 grams of suspected Heroin No. 4
2. 936 grams of suspected opium
3. 276 grams of suspected Ammonium Chloride powder
4. 5 grams of suspected brown sugar
Further, on the disclosure of the person arrested, the seized items were handed to him by one Khuleibam Muhamuddin @ Ibocha, s/o (Late) Md. Angou also from Yaripok Changambabi Mayai Leikai.
He furthered that the police team rushed to his house, and two unknown persons fired a round from his barrel gun at the police team in their attempt to escape. However, the police team immediately overpowered the shooter and snatched the gun, and recovered the empty case. Meanwhile, the other person fled away from the scene.
On preliminary verification, the detainee identified himself as the same Khuleibam Muhamuddin @ Ibocha (60 yrs), s/o (Late) Md. Angou of Yaripok Changambabi Mayai Leikai. He was arrested around 7:15 in the morning from the spot and seized the following around 7:30 from his possession by observing formalities:
1. 1(one) Double Barrel Gun marked as “25003-2014 BHATT & Co”,
2. 1(one) empty case
3. 1(one) ammunition marked as “12 SHAKTIMAN 12 EXPRESS”.
On interrogation, he revealed that the brown sugar and heroin seized from Khulakpam Abdul Ali were manufactured at his own house by his own son Md. Naaman Khuleibam. He also revealed that his son was the other person who fled the scene along with other drugs and materials used for the manufacturing.
Afterward, the police team conducted a house search and recovered the suspected brown sugar residue weighing 1.491 kg and other utensils and lime weighing a total of 28 Kg of lime suspected to be used in manufacturing the illegal drugs.
Both the arrested persons along with seized items have been handed over to Andro PS for taking further necessary legal action.
