Hundreds Screened as Lions Club observes World Diabetes Day in Thoubal

Thoubal, 14th November: Numerous individuals were screened for diabetes as Lions Club observed World Diabetes Day at Kshetrisanglen, Thoubal today. The observation was jointly organized with Bharat Vikash Parishad and other Pharma Companies.
Dr. Ksh Manglem, Chairman, Lions Clubs International District-322D, expressed, “There are a large number of populations suffering from diabetes at a very early age but they are not aware of their health condition. So, to ensure every person detect the same and help them cure of it through proper medication, November 14 is observed as the World Diabetes Day.”
The International Diabetes Federation observed November 14 as World Diabetes Day in 1991 with absolute patronage from WHO. Since then, the day has been observed worldwide as World Diabetes Day to face the peril of diabetes everywhere. They are not aware of their health condition. So, to ensure every person detect the same and help them cure from it through proper medication, November 14 is observed as the World Diabetes Day.”
