Kshetri Bir to be Honoured with the Prestigious Nilima Sinha Memorial Award
Bangladesh, 9th August 2022: Bangladesh Manipuri Sahitya Sangsad (BMSS) will honor Sahitya Academy Awardee Kshetri Bir-da with the prestigious Nilima Sinha Memorial Award. The award is conferred every two years to popular persons in the field of Manipuri Literature and Culture.
AK Sheram, President of Bangladesh Manipuri Sahitya Sangsad (BMSS), said that BMSS initiated the award in 2017 with the view to acknowledging the works of the persons in the field of Manipuri Literature and Culture.
This year, the award will be presented to famous writer Kshetri Bir of Kakching Sumak Leikai as a recognition of his hard work and contribution to Manipuri literature.
The Award Presentation Ceremony will be held on 4th November 2022 in Sylhet, Bangladesh at the International Manipuri literary Conference Hall of the Bangladesh Manipuri Sahitya Sangsad.
The award contains a Certificate of Recognition, a Shawl, a Crest, and a cash price of Rupees 10,000. The award also covers the transport fare for two persons up and down.
