A start-up investment fest was held at Princeton International School, Awang Kshetri Leikai on Sunday. More than 160 applicants were received for the fest, with many innovative ideas and techniques. The organising committee said "the event is open for all start-up from all sectors working on innovative solutions and ideas that aim to disrupt the way consumers, industries and businesses operate".
The start-up investment fest is organised by the MLA of Kshetrigao Assembly Constituency Sheikh Noorul Hassan with an aim to promote and help people of Kshetrigao who have many important innovative ideas and business plans.
Danish, 29, who attended the fest opined that the move of the MLA Sheikh Noorul Hassan to organise such a fest will promote a healthy and developed Kshetrigao by helping the ideas and providing a platform of many bright entrepreneurs. The success entrepreneurs will also generate employment in their company or organisations in the future, he said.
The organising committee said more than 160 applicants were received till 29th April, the last date for form submission. Selected applicants will get a minimum of Rs. 50,000 (fifty thousand) upto Rs. 5 lakhs.
The selection committee said the applicants are classified into three categories: 1) Idea stage, 2) Revenue stage, and 3) Scale stage. It said the idea stage received more applicants; it is the stage where entrepreneur/s have good ideas but have less experience/s to execute the plan.
All applicants will get many useful inputs from the experts to further expand and execute the plan. They will also get better opportunities in the next season of Kshetrigao Start-up investment fest. The selection committee consists of three members: Md. Yaseer (MD, Wizlop Technology), Amar (Co-Founder of Wizlop Technology) and Dr. Borish.
The selected applicants will announce shortly and a formal Start-up investment cheque distribution ceremony will be held at the residence of MLA Sheikh Noorul Hassan within 2 weeks.
