LEGAL AWARENESS AS PART OF COMMEMORATING AZAADI KA AMRIT MOHOTSAV

Thoubal November 13 - Azaadi ka Amrita Mahotsava has been organized in every part of this nation commemorating India's 75 years of independence from British Colonial rule. Yesterday under this initiative as a part of the Pan India Awareness and Outreach campaign a Legal Awareness program for women was organized at Thoubal Court complex. District and Session Judge Thoubal, Benny Ngangom, Vice president of Thoubal District BAR Association Kh. Arunkumar and CJM Thoubal Kumari Athokpam Shanta attended the awareness program as Chief Guest, President, Guest of honor respectively. On the technical session of the awareness program, Remand Lawyer Kh Lembisana and Panel Lawyer M. Brojendro Meetei speak on Crime against women and Legal Rights for Women as a resource person respectively.
Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India and the glorious history of its people, culture, and achievements.
This Mahotsav is dedicated to the people of India who have not only been instrumental in bringing India thus far in its evolutionary journey but also hold within them the power and potential to enable Prime Minister Modi’s vision of activating India 2.0, fuelled by the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav is an embodiment of all that is progressive about India’s socio-cultural, political, and economic identity. The official journey of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” commences on 12th March 2021 which starts a 75-week countdown to 75th anniversary of Independence and the series of commemoration will conclude on 15th August 2022.
