Land Records Should be Kept at District Headquarters Within 5 Days, Will Resort to Protest if Not - JNGVO
Kakching, February 23- President of Joint Non- Government Voluntary Organization (JNGVO) Ksh. Chhatradari cajoled the concern to keep land records related to Kakching District at the respective district headquarter within 5 days and warned that they will resort to protest if the said is not accomplished. At a press meet held on Wednesday at Kakching Chhatradari continued that land records of 69- Mayeng Lamjao, 71- Langmeidong, 72- Lamjao, 70- Nungu Sanamahi, 52- Pallel, 57- Kakching Khullen, 58- Kakching Khullen, 59- Kakching Khullen and 49- Kangoi are being kept at Directorate of Settlement and Land Record, Lamphelphat instead of Kakching District Headquarter. He said that taking related documents requiring land records, causes hindrances, and people have to visit the settlement office at Lamphelphat which is an absolute waste of money and time, land records are not still brought to the respective headquarters infuriating the population of Kakching district. He furthered that amidst this infuriation, adding fuel to the fire, there is information of taking away a steel box containing land records of 62- Kakching Wairi, 63- Kakching Wairi, 68- Hiyanglam, 61- Loushipat and 67- Kharungpat from District Headquarter. He said that they hoped for a better smooth administration with the creation of the Kakching district but all their hope is in vain and draw the attention of CM. N. Biren and concerned departments to transfer irresponsible officials from the district and persuaded them to bring the land records of Kakching District within 5 days at Kakching District Headquarter and warned that if the government and concerned departments doesn't adhere to their plea and persuasion they will resort to democratic protests from the next day after the dateline.
