Massive Search Operation Begins to Hunt Down the Unidentified Armed Men Over the Alleged Attack on BJYM's Spokesperson and Office Secretary

The government has sent various teams of policemen in all directions to find out the armed attackers who brutally assaulted M. Suresh Kumar - Spokesperson, BJYM, and Alex Ningombam - Office Secretary.
The unfortunate incident occurred on Thursday around 9.15 pm, at the turning of a Church near Shija Hospital, Imphal West, under the jurisdiction of Lamphel Police Station. A source added that Suresh Kumar, spokesperson of BJYM, stays at a rented house near the hospital. And the unlikely assault took place when Alex Ningombam, Office Secretary - BJYM, went to drop the former to his rented house.
Four Unidentified armed men stopped the vehicle - Alex and Suresh were traveling at gunpoint near a Church at Langol. The armed men dragged Suresh Kumar and beat him black and blue. When Alex tried to stop, they assaulted him as well.
A team of Lamphel Police rushed to the spot on receiving the news of the attack. The team brought Suresh and Alex to Raj Medicity at AOC for treatment.
As Suresh has sustained injuries on his chest, ear, face, and knee, he is undergoing treatment in the ICU of the hospital. But Alex is out of danger, the report added.
Meanwhile, CM N. Biren Singh took to social media and strongly condemned the brutal attack on Suresh and Alex. The CM also said that he had sent teams to hunt down the armed attackers.
