No Primary Health Center, No veterinary Office, and a Lack of Drinking Water Facility Put Thoubal Moijing in Deplorable condition
Thoubal, 12th May 2022: Zula, Member of 5/11- Thoubal Moijing Gram Panchayat, said that Moijing, a village- just three kilometers away from the district headquarters, is in great turmoil as most families in the village don’t have drinking water facilities. Besides, the village has no Primary health center nor any Veterinary office.
He added that the pipelines were laid long ago to provide tap water to the village. However, no such development has been taken up from the side of the government.
Zula furthered that the villagers have sought the local MLA and others concerned time and again to avail drinking water facility to the village. Pipes were laid, and people were happy hoping that they would soon get a drinking water facility. However, no action has been taken up so far.
The village has nearly 1000 families and the old water supply can hardly supply enough water to 100 families in the region. Besides, the village has no primary health center or veterinary office. And hence, the entire village is in complete misery, said, Zulu.
He continued that the inter-village roads in the region are decrepit and give a hard life to the residents and other passers-by during rain and the sun. During rain, the roads turn into muddy fields and the surfaces are slimy. However, when it is sunny, the roads will be covered with dust making it difficult to breathe and see.
So, with all these hardships taken into consideration, Zulu on behalf of all the villages in Moijing asked the government to take up a necessary and special action plan for the entire village.
