Parents held Sit-in-Protest to send the required teachers of Chairel High School
Kakching, May 06- Parents of Chairel High School students today held a sit-in-protest demanding the concerned authority to send the required teacher within 15 of this month for the sake of the academic career of their children. The said school is under the Zonal Educational Office, ZEO Kakching.
Participating in the protest Develop Committee Chairel Secretary Th. Nando said that 10 teachers including three utilized teachers have been transferred from the school. The concerned authority after the transfer did not send any teacher which severely affect the academic career of the student. He said that even in some schools the number of teachers exceeds the student but despite being a government school, Chairel High School has plenty of students as the parents couldn't bear private school expenses. From such school, 10 teachers have been transferred and the concerned authority doesn't send the required teacher and it is very unfortunate he said. If this trend goes on they feared that the academic career of their children will be spoiled, he added that intolerance is necessary to bring reform, especially in the education sector.
Sobita one of the parent protesters said that the school now has only 2 teachers which severely affects the interest of the student in going to school, it is not a good sign. She appealed to the government and concerned authorities to send the required teacher within 15 of this month. She warned that if the government and concerned authority doesn't adhere to their plea and demand several types of protest will be launched by consulting the Student Organizations of Manipur.
