Protest Against Adani Row: MPCC Stages Protest Movement at Kakching LIC

As part of the Congress Party’s nationwide protest and charge against PM Narendra Modi and BJP for its undue favour and connection to the evolving Adani row, MPCC also staged a protest movement at LIC Kakching for the state on Monday. Cores of public money invested in SBI and LIC were given by the BJP government as loans to Gautam Adani by the ruling BJP government.
The protest movement was organized jointly by Kakching Block, Wabagai Block, and Hiyanglam Block Congress Committee.
MPCC President K. Meghachandra, PCC member Ksh. Kennedy and other important executives participated in the protest. They shouted slogans against the BJP government in the centre.
Speaking on the occasion, MPCC President K. Meghachandra said; “Earlier before the election, BJP promised to work for the welfare of the poor and the helpless and remove every obstacle in their way. But, the BJP government has proved a torturing one with new laws and enforcement against the wishes of the people. People find it hard to survive.
Describing the incidence of giving away public money to Gautam Adani as unfortunate, Meghachandra said that the economy of India is uncertain. He also added that Modi Government cornered the Adani issue and refused to form a parliament committee for investigation on the matter.
