Protest against PM's Mann Ki Baat: Radio sets Set on Fire in Kakching

To show their dislike of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Mannki Baat", a huge populace took to street and burnt down radio sets at Kakching Market as a mark of protest on Sunday.

The gathering crowd said that they don't want to listen Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister remains deaf to various complains from every section in society.

The crowd also shouted many slogans demanding immediate withdrawal of SoO with the Kuki militants, Peace be restored in the state.

One Maibam Bidyarani Leima of Serou Makha Leikai said during the protest that The Kuki militants arsoned her house and many others and they are taking shelter at relief camps in Kakching.

They also protested burning down of houses and other structures by the Kuki militants and subsequent killing of Meitei civilians.

Further, she asked where they should go and settle as the Kuki militants keep on arsoning their houses and continue to fire towards their villages. At this, she demanded peace be restored in Manipur. that SoO with the Kuki militants be withdrawn, and protect the lives and proerty of the civilians.

They also question why they should listen to PM's Mann Ki Baat when he has been silent since day 1 of the present ethnic conflict between the Kukis and the Meiteis.
