Skill Mela Held at JNURM Hall Kakching Headquarters

District Skill Committee Kakching organized, on Thursday, the District Skill Mela at JNURM Hall at Sumak Leikai, Kakching District Headquarters.
The skill Mela was graced by Mission Director LN. Kashung, IAS, of Manipur Society for Skill Development Mission, Deputy Commissioner Kakching Somorjit Salam, Chief Operating Officer - Skill State Mission, Officer, MSSD Joint Director Aramjit RK, SRLM's Anuradha, and ADC Kakching Adahrii Maheo.
A total of twenty-two stalls consisting of four Departmental Stalls, five Training Institute Stalls, four Training Provider stalls, one Farmer producer Organisation stall, two Training Provider/employer stalls, two entrepreneur stalls, and four employer stalls participated in the District Skill Mela held at Kakching Headquarters.
SYNAPX Managing Director Anil Haorokcham hosted a talk show at the mela. And IDM Kakching - A. Athias, Padmashri Awardee Moirangthem Muktamani - Proprietor Mukta Shoes, Meira Foods' Proprietor Hanjabam Subhra, CEO cum Co-founder Pradeep Meitram - Elle's Group, and Medilane founder cum Managing Director Dr. Pibarel Meetei participated as the panelists of the show.
Speaking at the opening of the event, Manipur Society for Skill Development Mission Director LN. Kashung IAS said that despite her high literacy rate, the unemployment rate of educated youths is really high. And the higher unemployment rate results from the contrasting factor of academic knowledge and the Skills required in the market. And we need to focus on the need to inculcate the required skills for sustainable development in society.
