Thadou Inpi-General Headquarters Slams Kuki Inpi; Says Kuki Inpi Must not Interfere in the Affairs of the Thadous

Reacting sharply to the Kuki Inpi statement which identifies the Thadous as one of the tribes among Kukis, the Thadou Inpi-General Headquarters, on Monday, released a statement saying that the Kuki Inpi has no moral right nor legal authority to speak for or on behalf of the Thadous.
Thadou Inpi in its statement further mentioned that the Kuki tribe was falsely added to the list of scheduled tribes of Manipur in 2002 without due process while the Thadous got its recognition as a scheduled tribe of Manipur in the year 1956.
Thadou Inpi, the apex body of the Thadou Tribe, furthered that it had never asked or authorized KIM (Kuki Inpi Manipur) and it should know its limit and stop interfering in the affairs of the Thadou Community.
The apex body of the Thadous also said that Thadou Inpi believes in and calls for communal harmony, dialogue, and peaceful resolution to any issues within the ambit of the constitution and the laws of the land.
