Three Sent to Jail in Connection to Igniting Wildfire at Leiba Kangla Ching

Three arrested by Forest and Police in connection to igniting Wildfire at Leiba Kangla Ching, Tentha under Thoubal Forest Division on 14th March have been sent to Central Jail Sajiwa, Imphal East, Manipur.
The three arrested by the combined team of Thoubal Forest Range Staff and Khongjom Police were produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Thoubal on 15th March and sent to Police Custody for 6 days. They were produced again Tuesday before the CJM Thoubal and remanded to Judicial Custody till 4th April. They have been sent to jail till the period.
The three individuals arrested on charge of igniting wildfire are:
Ningshen Moshang (52 years) son of Late Ng. Thanni, Shinglai Reishangsing (27 years), s/o S. Wungshungmei, and Shimphrui Thotchan (26 years), s/o Late Sh. Tamashing from Machi Block, Mumlo Ringpam Village, Tengnoupal District.
It can be noted that as soon as the news of wildfire was reported, the combined team of Thoubal Forest Range and its staff headed by R.O. S. Samungo and Thoubal SP rushed to the spot and put the wildfire under control using a Fire Tender Vehicle at 5pm. And the three accused were arrested by the team.
