Wildfire in Horticulture Farm at Longsai
Noney, March 13 - More than 30 hectares of horticulture farm at Longsai Part II was blazed down on Monday by wildfire coming from Hengmol Village of Henglep Sub-division, Churachandpur District.
Chairman of Longsai Village Kabidon Gonmei expressed that the bamboo farm and other fruit-bearing trees and plants were blazed down to ashes by wildfire, he draw the attention of the authority to curb the situation.
He continued that the lack of a fire service station in the district caused burning of many farms of bamboo and fruit-bearing plants and trees which can be saved if the fire is doused and control a timely. He expressed the need of keeping a fire substation to response in time like this and also persuaded the blazer to burn wildfire in control manner.
