WinG to Organize Rally Against the Criminal Act of Raping a Daughter

Women in Governance (WinG) Thoubal Member Oinam Thoibi expressed that the rape of a daughter by his father is terrifying and unfortunate for growing girls and women. She said that WinG will organize a mass rally in Thoubal and appeal to womenfolk and particularly the father of all families to show solidarity against such crime.
Thoibi expressed the above statement at a press meet held at WinG Thoubal Office attended by important members of WinG Thoubal. She continued that daughters no longer feel safe going out with their father or staying home with their father and mothers will no longer trust their husbands. She said that such incidents are occurred in Thoubal frequently and will happen in our family also. She expressed his condemnation of the incident and pray to not to happen such type of incident again.
She continued that with strong condemnation they are planning to organize a mass rally with the people of Thoubal and are preparing to submit a memorandum to the concern. She appeals to the parents to show solidarity against such crime and take a role in uprooting this terrifying crime.
WinG Thoubal Member Bijaya Luxmi expressed that the terrifying incident occurred on July 31 and people found out the truth behind this incident after the girl ingested poison due to mental stress. The girl has been suffering the pain inflicted by rape mentally and physically for more than 4 years. After 4 years she no longer has the mental strength to overcome her suffering and attempted suicide by ingesting poison. She appeals to everyone to join hands in fighting such crime.
