A large quantity of Opium seize; the Accused faint
A combined team Saikul PS raids the house of Smt. Kimkhonu Haokip @ Kimkhongah @ Kimnu (68) yrs W/O (L) Thangmang Haokip of Ekou Mullam village, on receiving reliable information about Opium Cartels.
A large consignment of Opium was found in the house of Kimkhonu Haokip when they conducted a search operation. The seized opium is about 9.253 kg.
After the police red-handed the accused Kimkhonu Haokip they could not arrest her immediately as she fainted being a heart patient. She had to be taken to CHC, Saikul for medical treatment/check-up and kept under observation.
Reportedly the seized articles were handed over to OC/SKL-PS. A case under FIR NO. 16(5) 2022 SKL-PS u/s 18(b) ND&PS Act was registered at Saikul PS. The accused person was arrested on 12/05/2022 at 8:45 am during further investigation.
