Chabang Kut Celebration at Molnoi Area
Imphal, 1st November 2021: 'Chavang Kut', the post-harvest festival of the Kuki-chin-Mizo community was celebrated with a true spirit and much delight in many parts of the state on 1st November. The Molnoi area also celebrated the festival on the theme, “Peace through Culture.”
The Molnoi Area Chavang Kut festival had many renowned faces in the chair. Pu Benjamin Mate, Spokesperson, BJP, Manipur Pradesh graced the function as the President, Kim, Secretary, Custom and Culture as the chief Guest. And Chanthoi Aimol, former ADC Chandel, former executive member Pu Sumsonggir Aimol were special guests at the festival. While intending Candidate ADC-Chandel, Pu Momo Aimol, Intending Candidate, ADC-Chandel R. Chaithu Aimol, Intending Candidate ADC-C took part in the festival as the invitees.
The festival was celebrated with much energy and liveliness in Molnoi. Pu Tokhothang Haokip was appointed the Kut Pa on the occasion. The festival was also celebrated in Tamenglong and other parts of Manipur.
Speaking on the occasion, Thokhothang Haokip said that extended his warm greetings to the people of the State and wished that the Kut festival may bring peace, harmony, and prosperity to the state and all the communities here.
Later in the evening, 'Miss Kut' was also conducted with Letpao Haokip, YAS Minister as the chief guest. The event also showcased the Kuki-Chin-Mizo cultural dances and folk songs.
Governor La Ganesan, Chief Minister N. Biren among others sent their heartiest greetings to the people of Manipur for peace and prosperity of the society and all.
