Construction of Fencing Wall Underway on the side of Manipur amidst Border Dispute

12/11/2021: Amidst the confrontation between Myanmar and Manipur over Border Pillar No 81, the BRTF was found to have built new fencing walls stealthily on the side of Manipur instead of finding a solution to the dispute.
A source said, “Numerous iron pillars have been installed a kilometer towards Manipur on the side of the Border Pillar No. 81.
There also came another report that certain parts of Kwatha Village, a bone of contention between Manipur and Myanmar, were also found to have been cleaned and leveled by JCB machines and bulldozers for further installation of new border fencing walls and pillars. The fencing walls are just a kilometer away to connect Border pillar no. 81.
As expressed by the people of Kwatha, BRTF personals were found to have worked on installing border pillars near border pillar no. 81. Then, a huge crowd of villagers gathered and went to intervene further progress of fencing wall installation.
