Dissemination Program on Adolescent Health and RKSK Held at Kakching

Kakching, March 21- A Dissemination program on Adolescent Health and RKSK was held today at the Conference Hall of Kakching Municipal Council organized by the District Health Society Kakching.

The program was graced by Kakching AC MLA Mayanglambam Rameshwar as Chief Guest, Chief Medical Officer/ Mission Director of District Health Society Kakching Dr. Th. Rajen as Functionary President, MO- in-charge of Upper Primary Health Center Kakching Dr. P. Robin as Guest of Honor.

The program was also attended by doctors, nurses, ASHA, and Anganwadi Workers of Kakching District. DPHNO Kakching W. Hemabati, DNO of RKSK Kakching Dr. E. Kiran and Counsellor of RKSK Kakching L. Ushakiran spokes as Resource Person on " Introduction to Adolescent Health and its Importance ", " Adolescent Health Programme Implementation and it's rollout" and " RKSK reporting " respectively.

Addressing the program MLA M. Rameshwar spokes on the importance of the youth in the adolescent period and the impact of drugs on adolescents. He announced that a sum of Rs. 53.35 crores has been sanctioned for the construction of Kakching District Hospital. He also narrated that the project was planned to submit by the state for a sum of only Rs. 25crores, but he frequently pleaded the concern to raise the project estimate and it was raised to Rs. 45 crores and sent to the Union government but on seeing the lay-out plan of District Hospital, he rushed to Delhi and pleaded to raised the project fund for proper construction and the sum of Rs. 53.35 crores was sanctioned. He said that establishing such facilities require training components and Human Resource Department for the proper use of resources, he also added that without trained professionals the high-tech equipment will be of no used.
