A day after some students demolished parts of ACME Higher Secondary School over non-allocation of unfair means in the ongoing higher secondary examination, eight students surrendered to the Yairipok Police Station on Sunday and were subsequently apprehended.
The names of the surrendered students are
1. Md. Salam Khan Syed (17 yrs), s/o Md. Ashraf Ali of Yairipok Tulihal Mayai Leikai
2. BM. Asad (17 yrs), s/o Md. Hasim of Tabokpi Dam Makhong
3. Md. Yaleiya Khan (17yrs), s/o Md. Slauddin of Keirao Mating Mayai Leikai
4. Faraz Ali (17yrs), s/o Md. Nurjaman of Khergao Thambalkhong
5. Huidrom Sanatomba Singh(17 yrs), s/o H. Bijoy of Yairipok Huidrom Lekai
6. Y. Inaocha Singh (17yrs), S/o Y. Brojen Singh of Yairipok Ingourok Khunou
7. Keinoumayum Irfan (17yrs), S/o Md. Abdul Kalam Yairipok Tulihal, and
8. Kh. Mustakim (17yrs), S/o Kh. Sanayai Yairipok Changamdabi Mayai.
They are all the students of Azad Higher Secondary School appearing in the Higher Secondary Examination at the examination centre ACME, Yairipok. They were booked under (FIR No. 7(2)2023 YPK-PS u/s 148/353/307/427/34 IPC) after the infamous incident.
They will be produced before Juvenile Justice Board (JJB), Thoubal for further legal formalities.
The shameful incident occurred on Saturday at ACME Higher Secondary School, Yairipok, after the teachers on examination duty denied unfair means during the examination.
