Go to Village 2: CM Launches Widow Pension Scheme

Thoubal, 2nd Nov 2021: Chief Minister, N. Biren Singh, initiated a new scheme called "CM's Widow Pension Scheme" today at the inauguration of GO to Village 2.0 at Moijing Public Playground, Thoubal.
Under the Scheme, 10.000 widows will be compensated 500 rupees each every month. Of this, the central government will sponsor 300 rupees while the state will bear the remaining.
The CM said, "With the continuous efforts of the Government, efficient service delivery to the doorsteps of the population is becoming a reality. I am extremely ecstatic to launch the Go to Village 2.0 at Thoubal District today."
The CM further said that under Go to Village 2.0, static camps would cover all 16 districts and 4.51 Lakh households in 50 days. This innovative administration would also extend essential public service benefits of various State and Central Government schemes to the doorsteps of all the citizens of Manipur.
Several ministers, officials from different departments, and other VIPs took part in the function.
