Government's Objective of Healthy and Fit Society to be delivered - Paonam Brojen
Yairipok, February 20- Wangjing Tentha AC MLA and Chairman of Manipur Development Society (MDS) Paonam Brojen asserted that Chief Minister N. Biren and his government's objective of keeping everyone healthy and away from intoxicants will be soon achieved. He asserted the above statement during the inauguration of Deen Dayal Upadhyay Multi Utility Youth Centre of Yairipok Top-Chingtha Pukhri Achouba Mapal of Andro AC.
The inauguration was attended by Wangjing AC MLA and Chairman of MDS P. Brojen as Chief Guest, Andro AC MLA Th. Shyamkumar as President, Project Director of MDS Robertson Asem, MCS, CFO of MDS S. Somorendro, Chief Engineer S. Rupakumar, Member of Tulihal Zilla Parishad and Secretary of BJP Manipur Pradesh K. Inaocha Devi, Th. Babita Devi, Spouse of MLA Shyamkumar, President of BJP Andro Mandal M. Babu as Guest of Honor.
Addressing the inauguration MLA Paonam Brojen said that gym equipment and various other facilities will be availed at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Multi Utility Youth Centre for the people of Top-Chingtha and persuaded people of Top-Chingtha to maintain it as their own asset. Applauding the efforts of MLA Shyamkumar, he continued the incumbent government has the vision of taking the state to a new feat of development, and executing this vision is the responsibility of the people's representatives. He also appealed to the representatives and government machinery to properly use development money and hand out the service and benefits to the people properly.
MLA Th. Shyamkumar said that Andro AC is advancing in many developmental aspects however there are still various obstacles in the process. He assured that with the coming of the Yaoshang Festival, the road between Azad Golai to Top Chingtha Nganba Keithel will be blacktopped soon. The drains will be constructed at the roadside and a survey for road expansion will be done within two or three days. He said that 'no one is above the law', and objection in road expansion and construction will be faced legally, he also appealed to land owners within the roadside to give no objection, and he said that development should be carried out in all area, Manipur could be developed only when the ACs of Manipur are developed simultaneously. He said that education is very crucial for development and a stable economy, keeping this in concern Thambalnu Memorial Higher Secondary School is established at Top Chingtha and the Institute is providing free education, electricity, water, and various other to 150 students of Andro and other ACs. He said that the non-availability of drinking water in Top-Chingtha and Laimanai will soon be solved with the completion of the ongoing Water Supply Schemes construction. He said that the legalization of liquor is a good step, and it will prohibit illegal and non-tested liquor and liquors will be sold only by the licensed vendor with the observation of drinking norms.
Project Director of MDS Robertson Asem, MCS said that the inaugurated center will keep everyone healthy and fit from the grassroots level Top-Chingtha center is a second of its kind established in Manipur by MDS, and the center will install gym equipment, TV Channel connected to Smart TV. He said that computers and staff will also keep providing domicile, income, and residential certificates to mitigate people's trouble in approaching concerned DC, SDO, and SDC offices, he also appealed to the people to maintain and treat the center as own asset.
