Inaugural Function of the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Establishment of the High Court: CM Calls for a Forum of Experts from all Departments to Resolve the Burning Issues in the State

Chief Minister N. Biren Singh has called for a forum consisting of the Judges, advocates, IAS offices, IPS Officers, MCS Officers, and other Specialists and work on things to resolve all the major problems including drugs, poppy plantation, and deforestation among others.
The Chief Minister said the statement during “The Inaugural Function of the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Establishment of High Court” at the High Court Complex on the 23rd of March 2023 at 3 pm on Thursday.
Mr. Singh furthered the government would not compromise with anyone relating to Nation’s Integrity, State’s Security, “Drugs”, and “Deforestation”. He also asked the judges, advocates, police, and competent authority to never compromise on such issues.
While delivering his speech as the Chief Guest, CM N. Biren Singh congratulated the High Court, Chief Justices, Judges, advocates, and other staff for the services it has been rendering over the years in the state. CM N. Biren also expressed his words of appreciation to the Union Home Minister for his farsightedness in the enforcement of the ILP system in the state.
The Chief Minister also said that the largest problem we are facing is drugs. And he has begun talking to local clubs for cooperation and control of drugs at their best levels. Meanwhile expressing his dissatisfaction over some Private Rehab Centres, the government also has established a government Rehab Centre at Sugnu Siphai where 50 addicts are staying presently, and they are actually recovering. CM also continued that the government has plans to establish two more government centres for the centres.
Justice M.V.Muralidaran, Acting Chief Justice of the High Court of Manipur attended the inaugural function as the Acting Preside. While Justice A. Bimol Singh, Judge High Court of Manipur, Justice A. Guneshwar Sharma, Judge, High Court of Manipur, Lenin Hijam, Advocate General, Manipur, S. Brajabihari Singh, Chairman – Bar Council of Manipur, Y. Nirmolchand Singh, President – High Court Bar Association of Manipur, and P. Tomcha Meitei, President – All Manipur Ba Association with attended the inaugural function as the guests of honors.
