One Bike Thief Arrested; Stolen Vehicle Recovered

The team of CDO-IW led by OC CDO P. Achouba Meitei arrested one person from his residence around 7 am on Saturday for his alleged involvement in stealing one KTM 250 motorcycle from in front of Khuman Lampak Main Stadium near the football ground on 22/03/2023 during the match of the Hero Tri-Nation International Football Tournament, 2023.
The person arrested has been identified as Md. Abdul Wahid (27 years), son of Md. Abdul Manal of Lilong Ushoipokpi Tharaorou Chingol, Thoubal Dist. He was arrested by the team after giving prior information to the Control Room, Thoubal District.
The team also recovered the said KTM motorcycle without a registration number but with the same Chassis Number and Engine number unattended from Lilong Kaleikhong area on the same day.
During preliminary verification, Abdul disclosed that he was involved in stealing the vehicle along with his associates, Md. Azad Khan (25 years) of Lilong Awang Leikai and Md. Mujib Khan (27 years) of Lilong Haoreibi Makha Leikai. The CDO team also recovered one mobile handset from his possession.
Further, hectic efforts are made by teams of CDO-IW to arrest the other partners, Md. Azad Khan and Md. Mujib Khan at the earliest.
The arrested person and the seized vehicle have been handed over to OC-Imphal P.S. for further necessary legal action against him.
