One Ex-Cadre of a banned Insurgent Oufit Arrested in Kakching

Teams of CDO unit Kakching led by Jem E Subhachandra arrested an Ex-cadre of the banned insurgent outfit, UNLF, today around 3.30 am from Arong Nongmaikhong area, Kakching.

On receiving reliable input, teams of CDO unit Kakching led by Jem E Subhachandra rushed to Arong Nongmaikhong area and launched a search operation. In the course, the team arrested Salam Santa, s/o Salam Singhajit of Nongmaikhong Mayai Leikai, an ex-cadre of the banned outfit, UNLF.

On interrogation, he disclosed that he was a member of the banned organization UNLF and used to work under one Punshiba of UNLF. He also revealed that he indulged in the extortion of money in Arong Nongmaikhong area of Kakching district on the instruction of the banned outfit.
