Sensitization Programme on Child Protection Held at the Counting Hall DC Complex

District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) Thoubal in association with the Department of Social Welfare, Manipur, on Thursday, organized a One Day Sensitization Program on Child Protection at the Counting Hall at DC Complex, Thoubal.

Kshetrimayum Umananda MCS - The Chief Executive Officer, Thoubal Zilla Parishad, Thoubal Konjengbam Anita - District Child Protection Officer, and Dr. Y Nokul Singh - Chief Medical Officer Thoubal graced the awareness program on "Protection of Children From Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act 2012" and "Adoption Regulations, 2022" as the Chief Guest, President, and the Guest of Honour respectively.

As part of the event, Reena Chanu Moirangthem - Legal cum Probation Officer and Child Marriage Prohibition Officer, Thoubal, talked on "POCSO Act, 2012, and Child Marriage." While Gyanilaxmi Thongam, Program Manager - SARA, Department of Social Welfare, spoke on "Adoption Regulations, 2022" as a resource person.
