Delegates from IIIT Nagpur consisting of 40 students and 9 faculties reached Manipur today for the Prime Minister’s ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ Yuva Sangam 2023 to be held at IIIT Manipur, Mantripukhri.
M.Asnikumar Singh, Chairman LDA received the delegates from IIIT Nagpur on their visit to the state in connection to the program.
M. Asnikumar had a detailed interaction with the visiting delegates and shared information on unique facets of Manipur; rich culture, 2000-plus years of history, and enormous contributions to sports, arts, and crafts. He also highlighted Manipur’s contributions and sacrifices in the Indian freedom movement.
He also spoke in detail about the transformation journey the state has taken up under the twin-engine governance model with BJP governments at both the centre and the state. He added that peace and stability had been brought to the state by the BJP govt under the leadership of Hon’ble CM N.Biren Singh under the able guidance of PM Narendra Modi. He also said that the double-engine government had paved a stable and sustained push toward rapid growth and all-inclusive progress in the state.
He also added that the BJP governments at both the centre and the state had left no stone unturned in ensuring the development of projects that highlight and showcase Manipur’s unique identity and rich culture to the rest of the world.
The re-development of INA HQ at Moirang, the newly inaugurated Olympian Park, the Marjing polo Complex, the Sangai ethnic park, Kangla Nongpok Thong, etc. are some examples. Just a decade ago, Manipur was synonymous with unrest, violence, and underdevelopment. Now, she is hosting G20 events. Nothing else can be a better indicator or proof of the positive changes Manipur has undergone in the past 6 years, added Asnikumar.
He also appealed to the delegation to visit the Loktak lake, Sangai ethnic park, INA HQ and museum, Olympian park, Ebudhou Marjing Statue, Heingang, Govindaji Temple, Kangla Ford, etc.
