Sugnu Violence: 22-Year-Old Injured as Planted Bomb Blasts in Nazarat Area

A 22-year-old boy got hurt when a bomb planted by armed Kuki militants blasted on Monday around 2 pm in Nazarat area near Sugnu.

The ill-fated incident took place as a large number of people went to the Nazarat area in search of a Ngangom Nevy (From Sugnu Mandop Leikai) who has been missing since 28^th May when village Volunteer Forces stormed the Nazarat Camp near Sugnu where the residence of UKLF’s Finance Secretary stands. The planted bomb blasted when a volunteer touched the bomb.

The injured boy has been identified as Yumnam Vopenjit from Langmeidong Mamang Leikai, Kakching District. A piece of bomb hurt him on the neck. He was given first aid at Kakching PHC and brought to Jeevan Hospital. Later, he was referred to RIMS for further treatment.
