Three Persons Arrested with 2.18 Kgs of Opium at Serou Lamkhai

Kakching, 10th August 2022: As part of the ongoing War against Drug 2.0, the teams of CDO Kakching on Monday seized 2.18 kg of opium along with Rupees 3 lakhs Seventy Five Thousand at Moltichan Village near Serou Lamkhai.

SI Robindro Brown along with lady commandoes under the command of Inspector Abash Khan, OC/CDO-Kakching, conducted frisking at Moltichan Village near Serou Lamkhai, and recovered 2.18 kg of opium along with Rs. 3,65,300 (Rupees Three Lakh Sixty-five thousand and three hundred) from three individuals coming in a black TUV 300 bearing Regn no. MN-01AK-2294 from Serou side.

The three individuals have been identified as 1. Ngaineichong Guite (33 years), w/o Thangkholal Guite of Phoilem, Chandel District, 2. Thangkholal Guite(36 years) s/o Thongkhopao Guite of Phoilen, Chandel District, and 3. Hoikhoneng Haokip(65 years), w/o Haokholet Haokip of Phaiphenkoy, Chandel District.

The arrested persons along with the seized articles have been handed over to Sugnu PS for further investigation.

The entire operation was taken up under the supervision of Shri Binoy Chongtham, Adl SP(Ops), kakching, and under the overall supervision of Shri Shrey Vats, IPS, SP-Kakching.
