Tree Plantation Drive in Wangoo in Support of Government's initiative of planting 75,000 Sapling
Wangoo, August 09- MLA K. Ranjit expressed that he supports the government initiative of planting 75,000 lacs saplings but the planted saplings are needed to be nurtured and nourished after plantation. MLA K. Ranjit expressed the above statement on a tree plantation program organized on the Yellangba Waithoupokpi Ching, Wangoo Naran Ching, Uyung Pareng Sabi Ching of Thongam Mondum Range, he also said that they targeted to plant 5000 saplings. The plantation program was organized by Development Committee Wangoo and participated by the people of Wangoo Heinouyam, Wangoo Laipham, and Wangoo Warukok. MLA continued that they planted many saplings before and some of them are fully matured, and surrounding people carefully nurtured them. He said that he and the people of his AC for many years are involved in the tree plantation program in several parts of the AC and the AC is regaining its past greenery, MLA also said that planting saplings is easy but nurturing and nourished them required dedication of various individual. He said that the changing climate and many threats of global warming can only be toppled by mass plantation. He also appeal to everyone to support any tree plantation initiative and also expressed that their plantation program target to plant 5000 saplings.
