Two Power Houses Demolished in Churachandpur; District in Total Power Shut Down

A reliable source reported that two powerhouses have been demolished by unknown miscreants in Churachandpur on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday. And the district is under total power shutdown.

The report furthered that mobile towers cease to work anywhere in the district as the whole district faces heavy load shedding. No mobile network is available in the district, added the report.

Requests have been sent for repair, however, the officials in the electricity department in Imphal refuse to go to Churachandpur and repair the powerhouses following the ongoing ethnic clashes in the state.

The demolished powerhouses are 33/1 KV New Lamka Power Sub Station and Khominthang Power House.
