Combined Forces Conduct Combing Operation in Sugnu and Napat

As part of the state government’s initiative to control the ongoing crisis in Manipur, security forces conducted a mass combing operation in different Meitei villages in Sugnu, Kakching district on Saturday.
The combined team of Kakching District Police and BSF personnel began the combing operation around 9 in the morning under the leadership of SP Shrey Vats, Kakching District Police.
The combined team frisked every Meitei house one after another in Sugnu. They also verified people around in Sugnu.
However, the security personnel couldn’t find any single arm and ammunition during the combing operation, nor were they able to arrest any individual.
While on the other side, ITBP and CRPF personnel also conducted a combing operation at Napat across the Imphal river. The central forces also started making bunkers and stay there to prevent any Kuki militant from coming back and resettling there.
