3 CDO Injured in Pipe Bomb Explosion; Dead body retrieved from Sugnu
Kumbi, May 31- Today at around 2:00 pm, a well-plan pipe bomb detonated in the Chingujao area between Tangjeng Ahallup and Leisan Tampak of Bishnupur District. The unfortunate explosion wounded 3 CDO personnel, the bomb was suspected to be planted by Kuki militants, according to the ground report. Two CDO personnel who suffered injuries to lower limbs were rushed to Jivan Hospital Kakching and a CDO personnel who suffered injuries in the chest area was taken to a well-equipped hospital in Imphal for better treatment. The two injured personnel who were treated at Jivan Hospital Kakching were identified as SI Salam Gyanandra S/O S. Mangijao of Moirangkhunou Mamang Sabal Leikai and Elialong S/O Namheiding of Senapati. After due treatment at Jivan Hospital Kakching, they were taken to Raj Medicity, Imphal for further necessary treatment.
On the other hand, a Rakshak vehicle of CDO met with an accident at Leingangpokpi of Bishnupur District. Reports of injuries in the accident are yet to be reported.
Meanwhile, a Rakshak vehicle confronted engine failure at the spot after driving up to recover dead bodies in the Sugnu area. CDO personnel of the vehicle retreated safely leaving behind the vehicle.
